Bluenergy Group, Premium Partner and Energy Partner of Udinese Calcio since 2017, is now the back-jersey Sponsor, continuing to support Friulian supporters. The partnership is part of a corporate strategy that aims to highlight Bluenergy Group’s sporting vocation and its being a company rooted in the territory and close to the citizens.

By joining the “Siamo Trieste” project, Bluenergy will offer fans and owners of Red Wall Cards of “Siamo Trieste” the opportunity to support the Pallacanestro Trieste company through the well-known cash move platform. This is just one of the many initiatives Bluenergy will take to support the passion of the volleyball fans. With the male volleyball team “Gas Sales Piacenza Volley” which was promoted to the premier volleyball league known as “Superlega” during the 2018–2019 athletic season, Gas Sales Energia has been the main sponsor of You Energy Volley since 2018.

All of this by putting energy and expertise at the service of Piacenza volleyball, to safeguard and promote excellence in the territory and feeding the passion of the fans.

The potential to benefit from more visibility and brand promotion by extending the audience to the national level is another significant factor that contributed to the consolidation of the relationship with Udinese Calcio. The goal of Bluenergy, in fact, is to rank among the top national players in the Gas and Energy industry. Being present, even physically with the logo on the Udinese jerseys, means supporting the energy and passion of the Friulian fans, but also letting a wide audience get to know the company and its commitment to supporting – not only – sports projects and initiatives, that contribute to the social growth of the territory. For the 2019–2020 season, Bluenergy Group will serve as Pallacanestro Trieste’s new sponsor. The agreement as the Official Partner of the basketball company that plays in the Serie A championship was reached back in December 2019.

YOU ENERGY VOLLEY (GAS SALES PIACENZA VOLLEY)
THE FIRST ITALIAN SPORTS CLUB CERTIFIED CO2 FREE

Gas Sales Volley was the first Italian sports club to be certified CO2 free during the 2018-2019 sports season. The club has recorded zero impact in terms of carbon dioxide released into the environment. This important result has been attested by Bureau Veritas, an international company specialising in sector certification, which has allowed Gas Sales Volley to enter a small group of environment-conscious companies.

Through its subsidiaries Gas Sales srl and Bluenergy Group SpA, the entire C.G.I. Group has always paid close attention to environmental issues. For this reason, it was decided to involve the sports club along with its players, staff and fans in a form of transversal communication, able to overcome cultural, political and personal barriers, believing that sport is the most suitable system to reach as many people as possible. The first step was a plastic reduction at the Piacenza “PalaBanca” sports arena, which is managed by Gas Sales srl for 5 years as a result of the authorization given by the Piacenza Municipality.

Athletes, technicians and managers, including those in the youth sector, have been equipped with stainless steel water bottles to be filled by dedicated dispensers located inside the facility. The same tools are now delivered to all opposing teams and referees who present themselves in Piacenza. Inside the sports arena, light is generated entirely from renewable sources, just as methane gas which is 100% CO2 free. In fact, the entire production cycle, from extraction to final use, is carbon-free. The volleyball club is also equipped with electric cars along with charging stations – available in the sports arena parking lot – for the movement of managers and players: a concrete way to encourage the use of “green” cars also by spectators. In the future, a further step forward will allow fans to reach the Piacenza sports hall with a carbon-free shuttle bus.

This virtuous behaviour was also embraced by the “Dacia Arena” stadium in Udine with a CO2-free Gas supply, thanks to the subsidiary Bluenergy Group SpA which, as anticipated, is a Premium Partner and Energy Partner of Udinese Calcio. Bureau Veritas’ final count saw the consumption of what is referred to as “carbon credits,” issued by projects using clean technologies. In addition to reducing emissions, the Piacenza company has also financed a United Nations project-certified Gold Standard in developing countries.

Specifically, the volleyball club has decided to invest in an initiative linked to the construction of wells for drinking water in Eritrea. Wells that run on solar energy and that allow to reduce and in some cases zero, the carbon monoxide inside the homes, consequently also decreasing the number of respiratory diseases in the populations of the African state.
