Even in an exceptionally challenging year such as 2020, the C.G.I. Group closed its consolidated financial statements with record results: revenue reached €542 million, EBITDA amounted to €41.9 million, up 18% compared with the previous year, while net profit stood at €22.4 million (€19.5 million in 2019). Net financial debt amounted to €9.9 million, down €3.8 million compared with 2019.
We are proud of these achievements, which have enabled us to become a nationally significant Group while preserving our strong local identity. At the same time, we are fully aware that this growth brings with it increasing economic, social, and environmental responsibilities, made even greater by the complexity of the scenario that emerged in the wake of the pandemic.
In the near future, competitiveness will increasingly depend on services capable of fully addressing the energy needs of households and businesses, as well as on the ability to combine the challenges of the ecological transition with the adoption of more responsible lifestyles in the use—and overuse—of our planet’s resources.
With this in mind, the promotion of various energy-efficiency solutions has continued, enabling older buildings to be given a new lease of life while delivering significant benefits in terms of environmental impact.
Our focus on the major challenges of the future does not, however, distract us from our primary role as an operator serving the local area and as an integral part of it. The trust placed in us by community stakeholders continues to be repaid through a tangible contribution to the local area, by supporting a wide range of sporting, cultural, recreational, and social initiatives.
CGI Holding srl, in accordance with the provisions of Legislative Decree 231 of 8 June 2001 and in line with its Code of Ethics, has adopted an Organisation and Management Model in order to monitor the activities carried out by all parties involved in the company’s operations, assigning them specific roles and responsibilities and establishing a supervisory body. The Organisational Model 231 is one of the main tools for preventing crimes perpetrated by the company’s directors, employees, and collaborators in order to maintain transparency and efficiency and win our clients’ complete trust.
